Allow me to read entirely the letters of His Excellency Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America, to Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Thank you for your kind letters and especially for nominating me for the Nobel Peace Prize. It was a great honour to speak with you to help end the fighting with Thailand. Cambodia has a long and storied history and culture. I can tell that you are a strong leader who values human life and appreciates peace. I am proud to be a part of the ceasefire deal that ended the horrible fighting and saved thousands of lives. Now we can focus on prosperity for our two great countries.

And after receiving the letters from President Donald J. Trump, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, expressed the following: ‘Just like indicated in the letters, the effective and timely personal intervention of President Donald J. Trump, which contributed greatly to a quick ceasefire between Cambodian and Thai troops, has saved many lives.’
