H.E. Minister of Tourism: The direct flight from Istanbul to Phnom Penh by the major international airline- Turkish Airlines is a new and important achievement made by the Royal Government under the wise leadership of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei, Prime Minister, and the joint efforts of all relevant parties in Cambodia and Türkiye

Phnom Penh: On the afternoon of December 11, 2025, H.E. Mr. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, was invited to preside over the inauguration ceremony of the first direct flight between Istanbul city, the Republic of Türkiye and Phnom Penh, the Kingdom of Cambodia, at Techo International Airport.

This fruitful and significant achievement was made under the high-level leadership of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei, Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and the active and relentless effort of all stakeholders under a dynamic single stakeholder, from the competent ministries and institutions under the umbrella of the Royal Government, the good cooperation of the Government of the Republic of Türkiye, H.E. Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Cambodia, Turkish Airlines, national and international tour operators, and the people of both countries.

Through this connection with an airline that flies to more than 350 destinations in 130 countries around the world, Cambodia’s tourism potential and investment opportunities will be promoted around the world and will truly bring tourists and investors from all over the world to Cambodia.
