Keynote Address by H.E. LTG. Maly Socheata, the Ministry of National Defense Spokesperson:
I would like to update about the situation at the frontlines border, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. this morning, the situation along the frontlines in Preah Vihear and Oddar Meanchey provinces remained calm and stable. The Cambodian Armed Forces continue to maintain a strong presence, demonstrating full vigilance and unwavering commitment to carrying out their duties with professionalism. The situation in the An Ses area is being closely monitored by Cambodian forces to further reinforce the spirit of the ceasefire. Cambodia reaffirms its steadfast commitment to respecting and fully implementing the ceasefire agreement reached on 28 July 2025 in Putrajaya, Malaysia.
The Cambodian Armed Forces support the Royal Government’s position to resolve the dispute in accordance with international law and through peaceful means. Cambodia intends to build its borders with all neighboring countries as zones of peace, friendship, collaboration, and development, and is committed to preserving its territorial integrity of Cambodia. I would also like to reiterate the terms and conditions agreed upon in the ceasefire agreement between the Cambodian forces and Thai force, including:
1. Cessation of Hostilities
2. Non-Deployment of Additional Forces
3. Maintenance of Current Positions
4. Joint Monitoring and Communication Mechanisms
These principles are being upheld through the clear, firm, and unwavering determination of the Royal Government of Cambodia, along with the full commitment of the Cambodian Armed Forces, to fully and faithfully implement the ceasefire agreement. This commitment reflects Cambodia’s sincere efforts to achieve a swift and peaceful resolution to the current situation. The Cambodian Armed Forces fully support the Royal Government’s position to resolve the dispute through peaceful means and in accordance with international law. Cambodia remains firmly committed to preserving its territorial integrity and envisions its borders with all neighboring countries as zones of peace, friendship, cooperation, and development.
